Change Tucson Chamber Position Statement

It is the belief of the Tucson First Coalition that the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and its leadership have failed the local business community.

The Chambers failure has resulted in a hostile business environment, overbearing government, complicated land use codes, and inflated business costs.

An ineffective Tucson Chamber of Commerce has diluted efforts and minimized businesses influence on the political process.

Tucson First Coalition believes that the Tucson Chamber of commerce leadership and management has lost the faith of local businesses, public officials and the community. (Full Position Statement…)

Help us take our community back!

.

We the undersigned have lost faith in the direction of the Tucson Chamber Of Commerce.

1. It is widely known that Tucson/Pima County is NOT a pro business community.

2. Those that have been in charge are directly responsible for these short comings.

3. The leadership of theTucson Chamber has failed the local business community failed and we believe it must be held accountable.

4. We the undersigned see the fragmentation of the various business chambers, buraeaus and associations as a major contributing factor that has marginalized the business voice and set our region back.

5. We must have business leadership through the Tucson Chamber of Commerce, that unites and fosters a climate that supports entrepreneurial spirit.

6. Lack of political and business leadership continues to be a major hurdle for our region.

7. We refuse to allow another generation slip by due to inaction and poor management.

8. We the undersigned put forth that the Tucson Chamber of Commerce’s poor management and lack of vision has in fact set the business community back.

As busy business owners we expect the Tucson Chamber Of Commerce to take the lead, chart the course and enlist our money and support to ensure our community respects and encourage entrepreneurship.

We the undersigned have lost faith in the Tucson Chamber of Commerce and will work tirelessly to see that changes in management and leadership are made.
